Hi friends! I’m Katie.
If you’re reading this, you likely already know this but who knows?!
As I write this I hope someone finds this when they need it the most. I know I would have loved to fast forward to everything I know now.
In fact, many of us grappling with a loved one’s addition are looking for answers or a way to leap frog ahead to the good part.
But most of us are still very much in the chaos and struggling to control not just the addiction but the effects of addiction like financial stress, family friction, and social stigmas.
While we didn’t find a book that honored the strength and dedication of the loved one, we did develop a working language to accurately convey the dynamics.
It’s all a work in progress and we take our relationship day by day.
This work is all part of the future we were trying to build together so…
Welcome to the next phase of our messy, beautiful, chaotic, hopeful journey!
You’ve been there for us during some interesting times, but join us as we turn the page to embrace the next chapter of our lives as authors and storytellers.
We reluctantly share this story because we couldn’t find someone navigating these challenges like us and defying the odds. We want to reach folks beyond rigid programs, bleak statistics, and confusing guides.
We’re not here to sugarcoat the raw reality of what we’ve faced, but we do want to inspire others with the deep love we share. We choose each other every day and grow together. Ours is a story of hope to ring loudly over the chorus of naysayers. The black and white thinkers.
If you’re curious, we also have a free resource to Embrace the Gray HERE.
